The Queensland Government Small Business Digital Grants Program can be used to assist small tourism businesses to access digital technologies and services to help them work smarter, engage with the global economy and make the most of online business opportunities arising from digital disruption.Think about:i.    Online booking and payment platforms
ii.   Website upgrades - including mobile usage
iii.  Business-specific software - reservations systems
iv.  Digital planning, strategy and/or trainingThis is a matched funding grant.  If successful, a 50% funding contribution of up to $10 000 (excluding GST) is provided following completion of your proposal/ implementation of your project. This means that you have to pay for the project upfront.   Once the work is completed and you have paid for it you can submit a grant acquittal with copies of invoices and receipts for reimbursement of the agreed amount.The minimum amount that can be applied for in this application is $1000 (total project value $2000). The maximum amount that can be applied for in this application is $10,000 (total project value $20,000)

Small Business Disaster Recovery Grants provide assistance to small businesses severely impacted by the North and Far North Queensland monsoonal trough to engage high-level expertise to help them recover and rebuild business confidence. Funding for building, plant and equipment repairs is available in specific circumstances.

Available Funding
Funding of up to $10,000 (excluding GST) may be provided to eligible businesses to engage business consultants, mentors, coaches or advisory services to assist with business recovery following the monsoonal trough.The grant's purpose is to provide severely impacted small businesses with access to high-level expertise and advice to rebuild business confidence and increase resilience for the future.Single grant payments will be made directly to the business and is to be used for:

  • business plan development
  • retraining
  • business mentoring
  • financial counseling
  • exploring options for business sustainability.
  • Funding may also be available for building, plant and equipment repairs for small businesses as a flood-proofing measure – specific eligibility applies.
